Episode 27: Vivi Friedgut
EdTech, Persistence and The Power of Being Money Smart
Happy International Women's Day to all you lovely listeners and supporters. Thanks for sharing and celebrating women's voices with us every week! #IWD2020
My brilliant guest this week is Vivi Friedgut, founder and CEO at Blackbullion, an EdTech company providing financial literacy to students. Vivi founded Blackbullion in 2014 and since launching their digital platform, Blackbullion has partnered with 30 universities globally and is able to reach 500,000 students worldwide.
In this episode, Vivi tells us how she started Blackbullion with a sustainable and profitable business model, which she developed into a technology company in order to scale. Vivi tells us about her experience of raising money (she hates it!) and why she made that decision (so Blackbullion can run instead of speed walk).
Vivi tell us that you win in business by being the fastest or the last person standing, that persistence has been essential and that your role as CEO is to continually make yourself redundant through self-development and evolution.
And in the words of Vivi’s dad, “until you made a dollar, you’ve got a hobby and not a business”. I hope you enjoy this episode!
